Arneberg Gardens
North of the former airport at Fornebu we find Arneberg Gardens. Five new blocks of flats with 147 flats built by Skanska Norge. There were several villas in the area, which have been demolished. However, Villa Helle still stands, with its white plaster and large grey stonework. As a result, the architect, Anne Marie Lööf of Løvseth + Partner, was looking to play with black and white contrasts.
While the facade inside the courtyard is mostly clad in calm and discreet dark brick, the front of the blocks has a lighter and brighter expression. The side panels of the balconies are in green and white STENI façade panels. In addition, the entrances, which use white STENI panels have been given an orange ceiling that continues into the stairwell.
Colourful entrance
The strong orange colour of the ceiling panels continues into the stairwell.
White façade panels with black joints emphasise the shapes and give the façade nice, clean lines. An interesting contrast between white façade panels and black bricks.
